A lifestyle philosophy since 1962

The settlement of Portobello was born in the ’60s / ’70s when a group of contractors, architects and illuminated artists, real precursors of the times, remain struck by the “charm” of the place, and decided to preserve and enhance it, building homes, which are real territory houses, sculptures in the landscape.

The intent of the founders of the Park Residential Portobello di Gallura was to design a settlement that fits perfectly in the natural environment and enhance men moral attitude. Portobello was born as an act of love for a place and was supported and powered by the contributions of many people such as the already mentioned Tiscornia, Magliano, Amoretti, Mario Oberto, Giorgio Sanna and Giovanni Addis and all those who have collaborated with them to the creation of a tourism development project aimed to respect and promote the area.

A unique way of life in the Mediterranean

Inspired by the beauty of the local nature, the engineer from Genoa, Carlo Emanuele Tiscornia and his brother in law, the university professor Franco Magliano, chose this stretch of rugged coastline to create an ambitious project: the ideal village, for a unique and distinctive lifestyle in Sardinia. The purpose was to create an environment where people could live in harmony with nature and rediscover the fundamental values, such as the importance of the quality of life and authentic well-being, resulted from direct contact with the earth, the sea and their fruits.

In this view the Villas of Portobello Park have been projected. Each of them is a work of art in itself, designed to fit harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The houses are all different from each other as unique are the tastes and passions of each of us. Well finished in every detail and made with natural materials, these homes boast lush private gardens, large panoramic verandas and enviable positions a few meters from the sea. Curved lines that seem shaped by the wind and the presence of only one level, often embedded in the rock.

Following this philosophy, the Residential Park has gradually transformed and expanded, assuming the guise of a private community boasting peaceful and authentic life.
